Two classes must be taken in order to obtain a bankruptcy discharge.
The First one must be taken before you file. It involves credit counseling and provides information about the bankruptcy process. Your attorney will discuss the recommended procedures and timing for taking the first course.
The second course is to be taken AFTER YOUR HEARING. It is more informational and is aptly called the "Debtor Education" course.
It can be accessed at BE Adviser - 2nd Post-Filing Debtor Education Course. using our Attorney code located on the information sheet below.
When completing the course, we recommend avoiding any add-ons or purchases. Please do not have them file it with the court. Your attorney will do that for you.
